TrustMark is the only Government endorsed quality scheme for work carried out in UK homes. It is a not-for-profit organisation that invests in working with scheme providers like Certass and Registered Businesses to improve the standards of home improvement works across several sectors. TrustMark is also a champion for consumer protection. It delivers advice, information and support directly to consumers looking for trusted tradespeople to perform renovation works on their homes. Established in 2005, TrustMark is responsible for the licensing and auditing of around 15,000 Registered Businesses in the UK, as well as working with over 35 scheme providers, covering everything from new double-glazed windows, electricians and plumbers to carpet cleaners.
For more information on how the TrustMark scheme works, read their Framework Operating Requirements and Code of Conduct.
TrustMark works closely with several partners to help promote Members so they can win more work. Many Government home improvement grants, loans or financial support schemes will require the work to be done by a TrustMark Registered Business. TrustMark has recently been supporting a Green Homes Pilot Scheme in partnership with UK mortgage providers to offer cashback bonuses for homeowners investing in energy-efficient home improvements on their mortgaged properties. Double-glazed and triple-glazed windows are qualifying energy-efficiency products. Depending on the mortgage provider, homeowners can receive as much as £500 towards their new window and door upgrade – but they must choose a TrustMark registered installer. Barclays Greener Home Reward and Coventry Building Society’s Green Together Reward schemes are already live, so there’s never been a better time to get TrustMark registered through Certass.
