CERTASS – Exhibiting at Glassex 07
We are pleased to announce that Certass, the new self-certification scheme launched last year will be exhibiting again at this year’s Glassex exhibition taking place at the NEC in Birmingham from 4th – 7th March. Certass can be found on Stand No. F042.
Certass, which stands for certification and assessment, was granted a license under The Building and Approved Inspectors (Amendments) Regulations 2006 – Competent Persons Schemes on 6th April 2006. This license means Certass can register Installers for self certification under Part L of building regulations. This introduces an element of choice into the market place.
Since its launch less than a year ago, the Certass scheme has attracted hundreds of applications from glazing contractors as increased awareness of the advantages of the scheme become more widely known in the industry and with the public at large. Additionally, Certass has made arrangements with various insurance providers to offer discounted schemes for their members e.g. waiving of inspection fees and registration fees for individual contracts.
Where applicable, Certass can provide a One Stop Shop for contractors (who give Insurance) whereby they need only declare their completed contracts once to Certass, and they will pass all relevant information on to the various insurance providers, thus simplifying current arrangements and avoiding extra paper work and administration.
We very much look forward to welcoming you to our stand next month.
