CERTASS SPONSOR NATIONAL HOME IMPROVEMENT COUNCIL’S
TOP AWARD FOR GLAZING EXCELLENCE
For the second year running CERTASS is sponsoring a major category in the National Home Improvement Council’s (NHIC) prestigious annual awards scheme. The CERTASS category is for Excellence in Glazing.
The NHIC Annual Awards have been running since 1975 and have become one of the most highly regarded awards schemes in the UK housing calendar. The closing date for submissions is FRIDAY 10th SEPTEMBER 2010.
Full details of the NHIC Annual Awards and the CERTASS Category appear on the website www.nhicawards2010.org.uk where a submission or submissions including text and images can be made online as a pdf. Alternatively, hardcopy submissions can be sent through the post.
Amongst the other categories for 2010 Awards are those reflecting the current priorities and pressures affecting all housing providers.
For example, there’s the latest requirements for energy efficiency to help reduce households’ carbon footprints, the most outstanding private or public development using recycled urban land or buildings, best example of upgraded roofing stock, fuel safety in the home and, of course, innovation of which there seems to be an abundance amongst the UK’s local authorities and housing associations.
Winners and runners up are notified during October and the Awards are presented
at a special NHIC Awards Luncheon to be held in the Gladstone Library, One Whitehall Place, London SW1 on Thursday 4th November 2010, hosted by the NHIC's President The Rt Hon Nick Raynsford MP. A special guest of honour, usually a Cabinet Minister, presents the Awards.
